semester reflection

Congratulations! You've made it halfway through the semester and in five months you'll be graduating high school!!! For the following entry, I'd like you to reflect on the semester, with each reflection being a minimum of 5 sentences.

1) Reflect on your final grade in this class. What will you do to either keep the grade you received or how will you genuinely work to improve your grade in this class? (minimum of 5 sentence reflection).

I know I did not disserve the final grade you gave me because I am way better than a “D+”. I never gave any problems, always showed respect and I always did my work. The reason I joined CMMA is because I thought they will be there for a boost for college, but I was wrong. I did better in my non-CMMA classes than I did in CMMA the classes. So now in my decision of CMMA I don’t see the point of it if the teachers are not going to enhance the students grade. I really wanted to drop out of the academy and just have regular classes because I feel the regular non-academy teachers will try to push and help the students pass the class. The way I will improve my grade is by working two times harder than the other students because tat will be the only way I will get a good grade, but I will never suck up to a teacher.

2) What was your favorite project this past semester and why? What was your least favorite project and why?(minimum of 5 sentence reflection).

My favorite project was the iPod silhouette. I liked that project because it was an expression of how I feel and it was fun to make and to get it put on a shirt. My least favorite project was the occupy movement project. I didn’t like the occupy movement project because I received a bad grade on the project because supposable I didn’t do enough work on it. We wouldn’t even have an occupy movement video if I didn’t add the extra help in the video.

3) How has your senior year been so far? Are you working towards your goals of graduating? If yes, what are you doing to making sure you stay on track? If no, what has been stopping you from reaching the goal of graduating?(minimum of 5 sentence reflection).

My senior year with out the academy has been great, but in the academy has been a difficult processes, i like CMMA but some teachers don't push and support the students. i feel like the teachers are just hear for the money and they don't care if the students go to college or not. I don't like to feel that way because out of all the teachers i have senior year i feel they care about me, and me going to college. I just don't feel that with my CMMA classes.

4) What are you looking forward to most about graduating high school? (minimum of 5 sentence reflection).
What I am looking for most in graduation is continuing my learning career in college with our with out the support of the ones who are suppose to help. I will work hard and be able to make sure i can walk the stage and make my family proud of me achieving my goals and make them proud of me going to a university. I will miss high school but I will be glad to get out because I will be able to move on with my life and be able to get my degree in radio and television broadcasting and wok as a radio personality.

assignment #15 introduction: share your story brain storm/ draft

Going to Glad Tidings Church of God in Christ has had a huge impact on my life because it is a shelter close to my home that i fell protected and safe in. I love the pastor and the messages he brings to the congregation. the church choir is amazing and you can fell there hearts and compassion when they are singing there songs. I love the church being apart of my life because i feel secure and protected in the power of the blood when I think about God and how he has been the head of my life and my salvation. I love God because so many wonderful blessings has came from the power of him.

something that I will always remember Hayward by is Glad Tidings Church. I always been a member of a church ever since I was born. I love church, its something about the atmosphere and love that i feel from every person in there. Church is like my second home because if my home doesn't have what i need the church does and it always will be there supporting me, my accomplishments, and my life. Every Sunday I go to church and I always have a memory of something but the most important memory i have of church is when my cousin and i sung This Christmas by Donny Hathaway. My cousin and I always sing but we never sing in church in front of a group of people. I was nervous at first but i got over it because church is a no judgement performance zone. my cousin and I went in front of the church and started to sing the song. My cousin and I was doing great. We had people standing up, clapping there hand, and pushing us giving my cousin and i encouragement. I felt great after the song. From me doing that one small performance I felt great i didn't want to stop. Church was were i learned to sing and they will always be my support system when i have nobody around to help me. I love going to church and hearing the pastor make jokes. I have a memory of the pastor rapping to the congregation. That was so funny and fun to hear that the pastor has a humor side to him. its so good to go to a place were you can feel safe and not be judged by people because we all are Gods children and we respect each and every person we meet.

#14 Revise Artist statement

Dyrell Wilson
The One and Only D-reezy
Pablo Picasso is one of the most influential artist that changed art.
Picasso paintings are magnificent and the most expansive art pieces in the United States of America. the features that I best felt represents my art work are the lines and the colors I used to put my Picasso painting together. the lines best represents my painting because they separate the different colors that I felt at that described the way I felt at that moment. the mane colors I used were blue, purple, red, yellow, and green. those colors best represents me because they are lively colors that mean your in a good mood. This Picasso painting is one of my best works because its about me, and how i feel in my day to day life.Over all I fell I did a great job and my piece of art shows how hard I worked and how bad I wanted it to be finished. My painting shows a lot of emotion and I made it the way I wanted it to be.
